Chef Zakee Khan has been a successful chef for the last 28 years. He has been described as, contemporary, innovative, modern, simple but trendy and very cost effective. His career began in the Service Department. After working for 4 years in service, his passion for Cooking led him to the Kitchen. His work experience includes 10 years abroad in countries like Germany, Philippines, Egypt, Morocco, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. He was the Royal chef to the King of Saudi Arabia .He was the Corporate General Manager of Gujral Group of Hotels Calcutta. The last designation he held was Director of Operations, Asia Pacific Fine Dinning. Chef Zakee Khan was the team leader when the Restaurant Golden Harvest China Valley received Best Restaurant of Eastern Region award for two years in succession at the hands of the Vice President of India. He writes for Femina magazine, for Society magazine, and for Hindustan times. He has done a T.V. Promo for Comfort Inn Grand, Trivendrum to promote the restaurant Buddha’s Delight.
In the year 2002, his wife Shoma Khan also a Hotel Management graduate with 12 years of experience in service and Front Office department and an interior designer by herself launched the premier consultancy service of eastern India, Workforce - Hotel & Restaurant Consultants. She was the mastermind behind opening a Hotel Management college to cater to the needs of upcoming Hoteliers of the region. Recently she took over the management of a restaurant named Club City, in city center serving a Fusion of South Indian and Chinese Cuisine. Recently she is on the verge of opening a chain of Asian fusion food of restaurants. She has worked in the Le-Meridian group of hotels, J W Marriot group of hotels, Taj group of Hotels, and Radisson group of Hotels.
